1 | This Kid
This is my daughter who turned 18 months old on Sunday. I spend my day with her and somedays we argue, some days we laugh, some days we both cry but at the end of the day I LOVE THIS KID!!! She is the coolest!
She loves when I walk away from the computer - notice she is on Etsy. Sorry for the crappy quality I had to snap it quick - LOL
She loves to pretend to talk on the phone and she does actually talk However, I still quite understand what she is talking about.
2 | My sister has 2 blogs. The first blog is her personal blog where she writes about lots of randomness. One day she will blog about a really cool mirror she found at the flea market and the next she will blog about some crazy convo she overheard at the local coffee house. The second blog is committed to jewelry/home decor. She has this really cool project where she takes found and discarded objects and remixes them into something beautiful. She talks about her plans, her processes, and her finds on this blog. I have always loved her humor and her style and I bet you will as well. Head on over and check her out.
3 | A good friend of mine, Erin, turned me on to this next site. I love magazines. I love the information I get from them, I love to look at the ads, I love everything about them EXCEPT that they take up space and they use precious trees. Well this next site solves both of those problems for me. Coverleaf sells Digital Magazine Subscriptions. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!! The other cool thing about this site is if you just have to have the print edition and you subscribe to that magazine then coverleaf will give you the digital one for free!
4 | When I decided to start selling prints of some of my designs I browsed Etsy to see how other Print Sellers had their items printed. While browsing I came across this amazing artist by the name of Calobee. I loved her shop instantly and since I like to always check out the links of the artists I found her blog and I was hooked! I saw this really cool print of a little girl and her kitty and I was like awwww this would be so cute in Aubrey’s room and so funny, because the cat looked like ours and HE hates Aburey hahahaha. I convo’d and asked if she could give the little girl curly hair, she said yes, and the rest is history. Here is a photo of the print in Aubrey’s room. PS if you check out her 2nd blog you will find some cute FREE stuff - she has some really cute computer wallpaper! Oh yeah did I forget to mention she is also a photographer? Sheesh, I love this girl!!!
5 | I am a little OCD about planning and organization. I have folders and spreadsheets and calendars all over my desktop. I am old fashioned girl that likes to write things down in a calendar. I have a clipboard that I write out my THINGS TO DO TODAY lists every night. I have tried PDAs and online scheduling programs before but nothing made me happy. Then a friend of mine told me about Things by Cultured Code and I tried it and I fell in love
What makes this program so awesome is that I can link it with my email and my desktop folders. If I have art I want to used for a project I drop it into the list and it will create a link for me so that I don’t have to remember where I saved it or search for it if I forgot. I also can sync it up to my iPod and carry my lists with me. . . . . .I LOVE IT!!!!!
If you have a mac this program is so worth the $59!
