Project Life // Week 28
This week we had a lot going on. We had lots of outdoor projects we were finishing up, Aubrey had her entry day at school, and we tried to pack as much fun as we could in one week because school will be starting next week.
I began this page with my week and date card and this time I used one of the papers from the Midnight Edition as a background for my week. I really love the graphic pop that it gives the page.
To the right of the date card I included a photo of a rainbow that appeared after one of our many storms. The loving this I grabbed from the same paper I used for my date card. I just opened it in photoshop and selected the text and pasted it on the photo.
I included 2 photos in the middle row and 2 stock cards from the Midnight Edition. The first photo was one I snapped of Aubrey as she headed out to school for the first time. Entry day is the day that all the kindergarten students get to go and get a feel for the school. School starts next week but this will give her a good idea of what to expect. The card beside the photo I used to journal my thoughts about the day and how excited she was to finally be going to school. The second photo I included was one I snapped of JoJo and Aubrey playing the game Headbandz. The two of them were upstairs and things were really quiet so I headed up to see what was going on and this is the scene I stumbled on, again I used the card to journal everything.
The first pocket of the last row is a pic of Aubrey who totally snagged that toy on her SECOND TRY!!!!!! Seriously this little girl has some serious crane machine skills. The card I created using some paper from the Midnight Edition and adding my own text to it. The other pocket includes an instagram card that I created to showcase things I post to instagram. This photo was a picture of a tomato I saw at the Farmer’s Market.
On the opposite page I used my instagram card once again this time highlighting the mess on our coffee table. I swear it does’t matter how many times I clean that table off this is what it looks like by the end of the day!! To the right of that pocket is a picture of Aubrey and JoJo on the water slide. Again I selected some text off some paper in the Midnight Edition and added it to the photo. The polka dot paper is just a card from the kit and I am know noticing that the photo is completely crooked in that pocket. I need to go fix that
The entire bottom section of this page is dedicated to all the work I have been doing in our backyard. After 1 year, a french drain, a dry well and some major dirt being hauled in we finally have the water problem fixed! No water problem means that I can finally do some major landscaping in our yard. This week I planted flowers, I created walkways and I FINALLY enjoyed my yard!!
