Project Life // Week 6
This week I got sick; that miserable, stuffy, tired kind of sick.
I started the left side, as I always do, with my favorite date and week cards. Directly to the right of that I used a journaling card from Becky Higgins Cobalt Edition and I paired that with a photo I snapped of my 2 doggies cuddling. On the card I journaled the story of us waking up in the middle of night to find our smallest dog having a seizure. At the vet the next day we found out that he has epilepsy and later that night I caught a photo of Sienna giving him some cuddles.
I began the middle row with a candid photo of Aubrey. She is really into Little Pet Shop videos and she spends most of her days now searching youtube for the latest ones. I used another Cobalt card to document this new obsession and to explain the big plans that her and Riley have to create their own video. Next to the card I included a photo of the best SOUP EVER!! I was feeling really crappy this week so my husband went out and picked some soup up for me. I seriously ate this soup every single night!!! I finished the row off with another card from the Cobalt Kit. I love these convo cards and this one was perfect for documenting a funny saying from Aubrey.
On the last row I snapped a screenshot of the video that Riley and Aubrey had created and I documented it using the video card. Next to that is a heart card, again from the cobalt kit, and a photo of me and my girl.
The top row of the right page is dedicated to my trip to Ikea. I included a few photos of the trip (yeah it is a trip for me since our closest Ikea is like 4 hours away) and another Cobalt card documenting the adventure.
The bottom corner of this page features a few of my favorite commericials from the Super Bowl. Football is a big deal to my husband and I do my best to watch the big events with him. During the game I sit with my phone and explore pinterest but during the commercials we actually talk about what is going on. This year my 3 favorite were the Clydesdale Budweiser, The Dodge Farmer and the Jeep Military commercial. If you haven’t seen them I urge you to hit up youtube and check them out. I used a piece of kraft paper and printed one of the stamps from my Stamped Sentiments collection, available tomorrow, to complete this corner.
On the other side of the page I documented my sickness with a journaling card and really great piece of artwork I found on deviantart.com. Above that is the letter from the School Board notifying us that Aubrey did not get our school choice for next year and that she will be waitlisted. Right beside that is a journaling card filled with my anger for the school board! We are not the only ones struggling with the school system and I am feeling a little hopeless about next year. The issue with the school board is huge. . . . so huge that we even made The Colbert Show last year.
Total Time: 1 hour and 35 minutes. I decided I would keep track of how much time I spend on my layouts. I have seen a few comments here and there around the web about how time intensive this project looks or is. Trust me when I say that I do not have hours to spend on this. As you can see this week I spent one and half hours putting my pages together. My layouts are a good mix of premade cards from Becky Higgins and cards that I make myself. There is no doubt that if I used strictly Becky’s products I could knock this out in an hour. I also dedicated Sunday’s to Project life, but I will go more into that later.

Your pages look great, Shirley! You’re a real inspiration in getting in there and getting your pages done! Thanks for the Pinterest and Facebook cards! I used one of the Pinterest cards on my Week Six pages, which I really need to post!
