Project Life // Week 5
Welcome to my Project Life – Week 5.
As always I kicked my pages off with my favorite date and week card. Since this week brings a new month I used 2 date cards. I don’t feel the need to do the entire book in one color scheme because these cards create the unified look that I want.
Aubrey had her wellness visit this week and I knew going into it that it was going to be a doozy! I prepared her for the 4 shots that she would be getting and I promised that when we were done I would take her to Target and she could pick any toy she wanted. She brought along “Pandy”, her Panda Pillow Pal, to hold her hand through the vist. I snapped a few pics from the visit and then I took those photos into photoshop and just typed a few of her stats right on top of them. I also used one of Becky Higgins journaling cards, Cobalt Edition, to journal the entire visit. I finished this page off with the package from her Littlest Pet Shop toy, which is what she picked as her prize.
I started the page with some photos I snapped at a friend’s birthday dinner. It is rare that JoJo and I get a chance to dress up and go out together so to say this night was wonderful would be an understatement. I used more of the Cobalt journaling cards to tell the story of the night. My friend Brandi is back in the dating world and the stories she shared with us WERE UNBELIEVABLE, definitely worth journaling about!
In the middle row I used a convo bubble card from the Cobalt Edition to record something that Aubrey said to me. Beside that card is a photo of Aubrey after we finished baking JoJo a chocolate cake, can you guess who our taste tester was? The photo of JoJo was snapped when he got back home from the dentist – poor guy- and the journaling card is another one from the Cobalt edition. On this card I journaled about JoJo’s tooth and how we made him a cake to help make him feel better.
Since Aubrey was line leader at school this week I included a photo of the Robot snack men that we made. I also used one of my free Pinterest cards to document where I got the cute idea from. I ended the page with a 4×6 card from the Cobalt kit. I love using these cards to write little thoughts or snippets on.
When you look at this side you will see that this year I am focusing on telling our story. Last year I did some week in review cards and jotted down the who, what and whens of our week. This year I wanted the details and I am also journaling in my own handwriting. When I look back at cards and letters that my grandmother has saved I always love looking at the handwriting. It seems so much more personal this way and that is what I am trying to accomplish.
So how are you coming along?
