Project Life // Week 3
Welcome to my Project Life Week 3 layout!
Here is a closer look at the left side of my spread. I started the layout with my favorite date cards and the week card I created in Photoshop. To the left of the date card is a pic of Aubrey writing in a notebook. I kept trying to peek at what she was writing and she finally looked at me and said “Mom I need some privacy I am working on my schedule”. I love adding type to my photos and I just took her quote and added it right on top of her pic.
In the bottom left corner I used a 4×6 Journaling card from Becky Higgin’s Cobalt kit. On this card I just recapped our week. In the opposite corner I took a screen shot from a video I recorded this week and documented the video. We just purchased a new elliptical and Aubrey is on it everyday doing her “stretching”. To read more about my video journaling you can check out this post.
I dedicated the center of this side to the insane weather that we have been having here in NC. I took a screenshot of my weather app and used that with my Kraft Photo Tabs. On Sunday we had spring like 70 degree weather and then on Thursday of the same week we were hit with an ice storm. Beside the screen shots I used a journaling card from Becky Higgins to document my thoughts on the weather. I ended the row with a pic of all the snow *insert sarcasm here* we got. The weatherman was calling for 3-5 inches but we got this!!!!
Here is a quick look at the right side of the layout. In the top left corner I used a journaling card from Becky Higgin’s Olive Edition to document the story of “Mousey”. We had a little field mouse to come in and live with us when the weather turned so cold (the benefits of living in the country). One night while Aubrey and I were in the kitchen we saw him. I made a comment to JoJo that we needed to catch him and take him back outside and Aubrey completely lost her mind. She started crying and telling me how much she loved “mousey” and we can’t kick him out. Later in the week Aubrey took my phone and told me that she sent Mousey a text and a video. I was able to take a screenshot of the text – she used the notes app and I love that she used the heart emoticon – and put it in my layout. I also saved the video. Seriously this is why I love Project Life!!
In the bottom left corner I took a screen shot of Aubrey’s bedroom shoe and added some text to it to document P.J. Day at school. Right beside that I used a 4×6 card from Becky Higgin’s Olive Edition and added a photo of Aubrey fresh out of the shower. In the white space I wrote a quick note about how much I love this kid!
I started the middle row off with a card from Becky Higgin’s Cobalt Edition and some journaling about the weather (again). It was the same day, the same hour and a 60 mile difference but the weather was insanely different.
I finished off the middle row with a pic of my old man (he is 16 this year). I took the photo into photoshop and used my tablet to draw this frame and write this. To the left of the photo I used another journaling card from Becky’s Cobalt kit (the digital version this time) and took that into Photoshop and typed this. This may be the funniest moment of the week!
