Welcome to Project Life Week 19.  This week was a pretty big week for Aubrey as you can see by the left side of my spread.  This was the week that her daddy and I finally finished the playground. You can read all the details here. I knew that this side was mainly going to be photos so I used the page protector with {6} 4×6 slots from this Becky Higgin’s variety pack.  The only journaling on this side is on the one photo at the very bottom.  I took the photo into photoshop and wrote “Love at first sight” on top of it.

I started the right side off with my favorite date cards and my new favorite week card.

Here is a closer look at the week and date cards.  Some of you emailed me  yesterday asking me if I could show up it close up.

Beside the date card is a photo of the Mother’s Day gift Aubrey made for me at school.  She was so excited about that she couldn’t wait for Mother’s Day so she gave it to me as soon as she got home.  Beside the photo is this cute quote card that I downloaded for free.  I journaled about how when Aubrey handed me the gift she said “When it is Kid’s Day maybe you can get me something awesome too!”

Also this week Maurice Sendak, creator of Where The Wild Things Are, passed away.  This cartoon was floating around facebook and I just loved it.  We love this book and I thought it was only right to document his passing.

To the right of the cartoon is an iPhone shot of my lunch from a new food truck.  IT WAS AMAZING.  I created a card to go beside that simply says YUM and what I was eating.

The middle section of this page is dedicated to the Vote that took place in my state of North Carolina.  This is semi blurred for a reason.  As I stated on Week 17 I have no interest in making this a political blog so I am merely sharing with you the design and not the details.  If you are looking for a political debate friend me on Facebook – I am kidding, sort of.  Anyway I used Becky Higgins card to document the vote, how I was feeling about the vote and simply that no matter how this vote goes I love my state. Beside the journaling card is my I LOVE NORTH CAROLINA card that can be found in my State Love Card Set. Beside that I put my I VOTED sticker on some polka dot scrapbook paper and last I did a screen shot from the local news website with the voting results.  This is a hot topic and I think it is very important for Aubrey to look back one day and see where I stood, that I did my part to defend my views and just how I felt in general about it all.
