Project Life // Week 18
I have been terribly sick for the last couple weeks, respiratory infection, and I have been spending a lot of time just lying in my bed. As a result I have caught up on about 4 weeks worth of Project Life. Yay Sickness – kidding!! I began my layout using my favorite date cards. Since this week marked the end of April and the beginning of May I decided that I would put the 2 cards side by side. I really like the way it looked but I will be honest I was worried that it would feel a little redundant.
In the bottom right corner you can see my new Week Card. I used kraft paper and placed a white circle with the week number. I did all of this in photoshop and I LOOOOOOVE IT!!!
Beside the date cards I placed a pic I snapped using my phone during one of our trips to the Farmer’s Market. I purchased a pint of blueberries and while we were taking a break snacking on them Aubrey threw a couple to the birds. At first they showed no interest in our bribe to come closer but then this little guy decided he would live life on the wild side. He walked right up to the table and started snacking!
The entire middle sections is dedicated to International Night at a local school. The night was awesome! We watched authentic dancers from different parts of the world, we ate foods from other countries and we ate sno cones until our tongues turned blue.
Also this week we had a small emergency with a small dog. Mr. Bentley decided that his stuffed blue teddy bear needed to be punished so he decided to chew the plastic eyes off of him. Mr. Teddy Bear had the last laugh! One of his plastic eyes got stuck in the back teeth and Bentley had to visit the doggie ER to have it removed! Boy he better be glad he is so cute.
For the right side of this layout I used Becky Higgin’s Pocket Pages D. I made a list of some of the main events of the week that I wanted to remember and I was able to break those down into 4 categories, – watched, said, bought and finished. I then found those cute journaling cards for free (I will be back with the link to them later) and after a quick edit in photoshop I had the perfect cards for the middle column.
A closer look at the top of this page.
I just wanted to mention that every week I discover something new about this project that I love. Some weeks it is the way it brings back a memory and other weeks it is a particular way I lay the page out. Right now I am loving the text on photos, the date cards and my new week cards!

Love the words on the picture! Are you doing that in photohop with each photo? I’m looking for an “easy” way to do that.

Yes I am. If you don’t want to mess with photoshop I know you can purchase pens that will allow you to write on them.
