Saturday was a big day in the Polk house!

We welcomed the morning with big smiles as we prepared for Aubrey’s first ballet class!  She has been begging us for months to let her take ballet and I have searched for the perfect place.  I was surprised to find out that most dance classes run on a school schedule, register in the fall and last till the spring.  I was super lucky to find a great studio that taught toddlers during the summer.

Before heading out to class I took her for a special Mommy and Bre breakfast.  We talked about what she might learn in class, she told me that she loved me so much for letting her take ballet and she promised that she was going to pay very close attention.  The class had about 6 little girls all ranging from 3-5 years old.  They spent most of their hour prancing around in a circle and practicing control over their body movements.   Before they ended the class the teacher took a moment to introduce them to the arabesque and that is all Aubrey has talked about for 2 days!

After her class we headed home to pick up JoJo so he could go with us to the First Annual Riley & Aubrey Lemonade Sale!

My sister lives in a gorgeous, historic neighborhood so we set up shop in their community park.

Riley suggested that we offer cherries for customers to add to their lemonade, the kid is a genius!

It was a slow start but soon JoJo and Riley hit the streets with signs.  They stopped everyone that passed by and yelled out to every passing car “come and get your fresh squeezed lemonade”

Soon the customers started showing up and the “money girl” started counting the money.

2 hours later we were out of lemonade and all the sweetness that goes with it.  These two girls took our attempt at taking a sweet lemonade picture and turned it into the cover of  the next Gangstarr album.
