Project 365 | It Takes A Village
Here is my layout for week one. I am using my P365 Templates and changing out the background paper, more on that when I get a chance to shoot some photos.
How are you doing?
Are you still with us?
I truly believe that this project is so much easier when you find a place to share your photos, receive feedback and get inspiration from others. It’s like joining weight watchers. Yeah you can do it by yourself with the online site but if you sign up for the meetings and go every week you are more than likely going to lose more weight. There is an accountability at the meetings, there is inspiration at the meetings, that little voice inside you saying if she can lose 3 pounds in a week I can lose 3 pounds makes it’s appearance at the meetings. (Can you tell where my mind is at these days, hahaha).
Today I would like to introduce you to my favorite Project 365 Community.
Capture Your 365
CaptureYour365 is a community for ideas, support, and inspiration for your 365 project. You’ll find a welcoming community, a gallery to share your images, and inspiration for your photography and memory keeping. The site was created by Katrina Kennedy who is is a photographer, teacher, author, and a mom. She is passionate about documenting the everyday moments of her life. Katrina has helped over 1000 people improve their camera skills in her online classes at GetItScrapped.
Some of my favorite features on this site include:
The Daily Email | | Yeah you totally read that right. Sign up here and wait for the inspiration to be delivered to you daily!
The Blog | | She hosts giveaways, she offers encouragement for the days you are not feeling so 365ish, she gives away some photo taking tips. If you can think of it she has blogged about it.
The List | | You will never find yourself stuck and asking “What the heck do I take a picture of today?” because Katrina tackles every month and every holiday with an amazing list of ideas for you to shoot.
The Forum | | This is the spot to ask questions and provide perspective on what 365 means to you – whether you are taking a photo a day, a week or a month. Stuck for an idea? Need motivation? Photography help? Stop by there
Even if you are not participating in P365 I suggest you check out Katrina’s site and facebook page. Not only will you be amazed by the beauty of her photos but I am positive you will walk away from the site with a new photo tip
