Project {Life} Summer – Week 4 + A Freebie

22
Jul

This week is by far my most favorite week.  I did more paper accents, I used my handwriting more (which I usually hate), and I actually had more items saved then I need so I didn’t spend an hour trying to figure out what I was going to do :)

Will you just look at all that color!  This was a really busy and fun week for us.  There was painting, sliding, visits, dinners out, and much more.

This tall skinny strip was the perfect size to showcase the straps that we cut off Aubrey’s flip flops.  She told me that big girls don’t need straps on their shoes and she was a big girl now.  The flip flops were $2.50 so I figured what the heck.  It turns out she was right she didn’t need straps.

I created this 4×6 card to serve as a date holder.  I came across this quote last week while browsing Pinterest and I thought it fit this week perfectly.

Along the outer edge I printed out some photos of Aubrey and Riley slip – n – sliding.

Right below the title card I saved a painting that Riley created for me during her and Aubrey’s Art time.

Above the title card I placed a photo I snapped while Aubrey and Riley were painting together.  They had no idea I was standing outside the door.  These 2 are so cute together!

The right side contains a little more details from our week.

Aubrey and I went to the Farmer’s Market with our friend Hayley this week.  While there Aubrey fell and skinned up her knee.  She was so upset and cried and cried about it.  When we got back to Hayley’s she gave Aubrey some cupcake band-aids and her doggie, who we kept telling Aubrey was a magic pig, played with Aubrey until she was all smiles again.

Beside that is a photo of Aubrey that I took while we were at a local buffet. Aubrey was tickled that they had cotton candy, even though she didn’t like eating it.

Below the pic is the story from that night.  Aubrey didn’t know it was cotton candy and she kept telling her daddy “I WANT HOT AND CANDY”.  Right beside that is a before shot of the landing at the bottom of our stairs.  We ripped that ugly carpet out this week and put down hardwoods.

In the bottom corner I put these dragon drawings that Hayley and Aubrey made while we were out eating ice cream.  These are mommy and daddy dragons.  They also wrote out a grocery list that day.  Aubrey loves her Aunt Hayley so much!

In the other bottom corner is a photo of Aubrey playing her newly discovered favorite toy – The Wii.  Above that I cut out the Wii logo and placed it on one of Becky Higgins Journaling cards.  I then wrote a little bit about Aubrey and the Wii.

The last space I filled with something I pulled from my twitter account.  To highlight it I created this card.  I really like the idea of pulling my random thoughts off of facebook or twitter.  Sometimes these random thoughts make me remember something about a day I totally forgot.

If you like the Totally Tweeting This Card then you can download it here.  In the zip I have included this card that you can print and cut out and use in your project.  I have also included a variety of masks that you can use to create your own tweet card.  You can place them on pics that you tweeted, you can create larger cards and you can clip them to papers that match your pages.  I hope you enjoy them!!

Shirley, your Project Life is soooo awesome… I really want to do one after seeing yours and Liz’s (Paislee Press), but dang, I am so uncoordinated with cutting out stuff and things… you make me think it’s worth trying… on the todo list next year maybe?

Thanks for the Tweet card! I don’t tweet very much (my phone is over 7 years old) but it will be perfect for when I do.
